YouTube Comment Picker
Paste the comments from your video, @handles are extracted automatically, and pick a fair winner.
Paste your YouTube comments
Open the post on a computer, scroll until all comments have loaded, select and copy them, then paste them here. No password or account access needed — the comments are processed in your browser.
How the YouTube comment picker works
Listing every viewer who commented can take ages. Here you copy the comments from your video and paste them in: @handles are extracted automatically, while reply counts, likes and “Reply” buttons are ignored.
You don't grant access to your channel — the tool doesn't connect to YouTube, and the comments are processed in your browser. After the draw, add the result link to your description or a community post so viewers can see the winners, alternates and number of entries for themselves.
Step-by-step YouTube giveaway
- 1Open the video in a browser on your computer and scroll to the comments.
- 2Sort by “Newest first” and scroll until all comments have loaded.
- 3Select the comments, copy them and paste them into the box above.
- 4Exclude your own channel's @handle and click “Extract usernames”.
- 5Check the list, choose the number of winners and alternates, and start the draw.
- 6Share the result link in the video description or the Community tab.
Tips for a YouTube giveaway
- Post the rules in the description and in a pinned comment, including the closing date and time.
- YouTube's contest policies expect you to write the rules yourself and make clear that YouTube isn't a sponsor.
- Record the draw and share it as a Short, with the result link in the description.
- Warn viewers about impersonators posting fake winner announcements in the comments.
Frequently Asked Questions
No. The tool never connects to YouTube; you copy and paste the comments and the handles are extracted in your browser.
If you expanded the replies before copying, reply authors are added too. To count only top-level comments, copy without expanding replies or remove them from the list.
Live chat moves fast, so we recommend collecting entries in a video's comments instead. You can still copy usernames from chat and paste them into the list.
With “One entry per person” duplicates are removed automatically; with “Allow multiple entries” every comment is a separate chance.
