How the Instagram comment picker works

The slowest part of an Instagram giveaway is turning comments into a list of entries. Here you just copy the comments and paste them in: usernames are extracted automatically, and lines like “Like”, “Reply”, timestamps and like counts are ignored. Then choose the number of winners and alternates and start the draw.

You don't log in to Instagram or grant any app access to your account. The comments are processed in your browser, and nothing is connected to your profile. When the draw is done you get a result link that can't be changed — your followers can see the winners, the alternates and how many people took part.

Step-by-step Instagram giveaway

  1. 1Open the post in a browser on your computer (instagram.com).
  2. 2Scroll until all comments are visible, clicking “load more comments” if needed.
  3. 3Select the comments, copy them (Ctrl+C or Cmd+C) and paste them into the box above.
  4. 4Add your own account under “accounts to exclude” and click “Extract usernames”.
  5. 5Check the list, choose the number of winners and alternates, and start the draw.
  6. 6Share the result link in your Story or in the post caption.

With “One entry per person” duplicate usernames are removed automatically and the tool shows how many were removed. With “Allow multiple entries” every comment counts as a separate chance.

No — because the tool doesn't connect to Instagram, it can't see who follows whom. Remove entries that don't meet your rules before the draw, or check the winner before announcing; if they don't qualify, the prize moves to an alternate.
